Life can't ever really defeat a writer

WELCOME to the official website of PASIC, the Published Authors' Special Interest Chapter of Romance Writers of America

No matter where your career falls in the spectrum from newly published romance author to New York Times bestseller . . .

. . . PASIC is the organization you want and need to belong to.

Founded in 1995 to serve the needs of professional romance authors, this chapter of Romance Writers of America (RWA) is now 400-plus members strong, and we're continually growing.

Every other year we congregate in New York City, the home of publishing, for our PASIC Power Conference, with workshops featuring panels of editors, agents, artists, public relations experts and more. The three-day event is kicked off by a fabulous reception, where attendees congregate with publishing professionals over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

Other benefits abound for members of PASIC. Online chats with publishing professionals are held in spring and summer, our industry reception held during RWA's national conference can't be beat, and at the heart of PASIC is our email loop, where members meet, share ideas, ask questions, discuss industry happenings, and network, day in and day out.

To learn even more about PASIC or to join, check out PASIC Perks in our Join PASIC section.

PASIC’s Great Wall of Books raffled off during RWA’s literacy signing in San Francisco was a huge success! The wall of over 120 autographed books curved around the corner of the raffle table--making a big splash at the reception and bringing in big bucks for literacy! An estimated $1,000 worth of books donated by PASIC members was won by Virginia Stumbo of Kansas—and she’s thrilled with her prize.

The “in” place to be the night of July 30, 2008, was PASIC’s Industry Appreciation Reception at the elegant and historic Neiman Marcus Rotunda in San Francisco.  Nearly 160 PASIC members and well over 50 editors and agents gathered together for cocktails, a good time, and delicious desserts.
